Eating well and resting are required
for a constructive training
Thomas Kieller
To maximize our training, we must not simply do the program exercises. We must embrace good life habits, such as eating well and resting sufficiently.
By living healthily, the training of sportsmen or sportswomen will be more constructive than the one of a person who neglects to eat well and to take a good rest. If the training program is diversified (flexibility, muscular strength, cardiorespiratory system, etc.) and the active person has good life habits, it is certain that in the long term the physical condition and the health of that person will improve significantly.
It goes without saying that smoking and drinking alcohol are shackles to reach a good physical form and to be in good health.
Don't forget that nearly all high caliber athletes refuse to smoke. Concerning alcohol, many athletes do not drink or if they do, it's in small quantities. To maximize our form and health, it is better to say no to tobacco and to drink with moderation.
